Mistaken Worthiness (7:1-5)
- No matter how successful you are, life will eventually force you to look for help (7:1-3).
- Religious voices will argue that your works make you worthy (7:4).
- People will leverage Jesus when it benefits them (7:5).
Genuine Unworthiness (7:6-8)
- Others may admire what you’ve done, but only you can admit who you really are (7:6).
- Real faith trusts that His word is enough (7:7).
- Humility admits you don’t deserve it, but trusts Jesus to do it anyway (7:8).
Undeniable Worthiness (7:9-10)
- Jesus wasn’t impressed by anyone’s works, but He was amazed at someone’s faith (7:9).
- Don’t be surprised when the unlikely get it and the expected don’t (7:9).
- The question isn’t whether Jesus has the power but whether we have the faith (7:10).
