Rocky Creek Students

Alex Gore began serving as Rocky Creek’s Student Pastor Pastor in 2024. He and his family responded to the clear calling of serving the next generations of Rocky Creek. He is married to his compassionate wife, Chaffee, and together they have two energetic boys Max and Benji.

Alex graduated from North Greenville University with a degree in Youth Ministry (2018). He is currently pursuing an M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Alex’s role at Rocky Creek is to preach the Word, lead the students to fall in love with Jesus and His mission, and to equip families with practical ways to live out the gospel. His heart is to see families reaching other families with the gospel by the way they show Jesus in their everyday lives.

In addition to pastoring students, Alex also speaks in local schools and loves to be where the students are so he can reach them.

Alex also loves spending time with his family, working with his hands in the yard, dreaming about the future, listening to a podcast, or getting coffee to chat. Alex believes The Church on earth should reflect that which is in Heaven and that is the mission He lives for everyday.

Carolyne Valentine has been at Rocky Creek since graduating from college in 2025. She serves as the Family Ministry Assistant where she provides administrative support and coordinates with the Family Ministry Team including preschool, kids, students, and college.

Carolyne received a bachelor’s degree from Anderson University in Human Development and Family Studies, with a minor in Christian Studies. Her call to ministry was made evident in college, where she grew a deep love for serving families in the local church and supporting various ministries. While she enjoys working behind-the-scenes, she loves connecting and developing relationships with people in order to make Christ known.

Outside of her ministry work, Carolyne enjoys sewing, hanging out with friends, and enjoying the sun. If you are looking for ways to get involved in the Family Ministry, let Carolyne know. She would love to connect with you and get you plugged in!

Sarah Dixon serves as a Student Ministry Intern at Rocky Creek, where she gets to encourage and challenge students in their walk with the Lord. She recently graduated from North Greenville University with a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies and will return to NGU in August as a Graduate Assistant to pursue her Master's in Organizational Leadership. When she isn’t serving, you can find her playing spikeball, building sandcastles, cooking new meals, and hanging out with friends. Sarah has been a member of Rocky Creek since 2013 and is thrilled to be serving in her home church.

Will Shaw is serving as a Student Ministry Intern this summer and will be walking alongside students and investing in their lives. He recently graduated from North Greenville University with a degree in Youth Ministry and is originally from Greenwood. Will loves anything sports-related, especially playing ultimate frisbee and getting out on the golf course. He is passionate about discipling students and helping raise up the next generation of leaders, and he is excited for all God has in store this summer and beyond.
