The Commitment of Every Member
Exodus 35:4–36:7 – God’s people brought different gifts, resources, and skills until there was more than enough to accomplish the work. Consider what God has entrusted to you and how you can use it to help mobilize the church and maximize the campus.
BRING WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU
- God gave His people a specific work that required their participation (35:4-10).
- Those with resources were invited to give them, and those with abilities were invited to use them.
- They possessed different resources and skills, so they contributed in different ways.
- Those whose hearts were willing brought what they had (35:21-29).
- God had already provided what the work required through His people.
- They responded so generously that there was more than enough to complete the work (36:5-7).
God did not ask everyone to bring the same thing, but He gave everyone an opportunity to bring something.
EVERYONE CAN PARTICIPATE
We are asking every member to consider how God might use their time, place, and resources for the sake of others.
Mobilize: Where can I go, serve, or lead?
Maximize: What can I give, change, or release to make room for others?
FIND A PLACE TO SERVE
- A growing ministry requires more people willing to take personal responsibility for Kingdom activity.
- Consider serving weekly in Preschool, Children, Students, Worship, Tech, Groups, Greeters, Care, Mentoring, or through a Recommission Church.
- Ask where your willingness could meet a ministry need.
CONSIDER A MOVE
- Some significant contributions to M2 will never appear on a financial statement.
- Would you consider worshiping at 5:00 PM, worshiping at a Recommission Church, or attending a Home Gospel Group?
- Making room for someone else may require giving up a place or time comfortable for us.
CHOOSE YOUR THREE
- Every family needs a sustainable rhythm for worship, serving, and Gospel Group participation.
- Choose one time to worship, one time to serve weekly, and one Gospel Group time. Consider whether changing your current rhythm could better serve the mission.
GIVE SOMETHING
- Prayerfully consider two financial commitments:
- Firstfruits Offering: A one-time sacrificial gift given by September 20.
- Ongoing Commitment: An above-and-beyond commitment through December 31, 2028.
- The goal is not equal giving but willing and sacrificial participation.
THE COMMITMENT OF EVERY MEMBER
- Serve somewhere. Consider a move. Choose your three. Give something.
- We aren't asking everyone to do the same thing. We are asking everyone to do something. We are asking everyone to give something.
- The question is not whether you have something to contribute. The question is what God has entrusted to you for this moment.
