The Vision of M2
The Vision of M2
GO OUT UNTIL THE HOUSE IS FULL
- The banquet was ready, but the invited guests were unwilling (14:16–20).
- Different excuses revealed the same problem: lesser priorities kept people from responding to the invitation.
- The rejection of some did not diminish the master’s desire for a full house (14:21).
- The servants were commanded to go where the people were.
- The invitation extended to people others might overlook.
- The servants kept going because “there’s still room” (14:22).
- The mission required both movement and capacity: go out so that the house may be full.
Mobilize: Go out and bring them in.
Maximize: Make room for those who come.
We don’t want to grow a network or fill a building for the sake of status or attendance. We want to reach more people with the gospel and prepare more people to participate in the mission.
MOBILIZE THE CHURCH
Mission: Making disciples who take personal responsibility for Kingdom activity.
Vision: Everyone discipling someone.
The Kingdom advances not merely through addition, but through multiplication.
Disciples → Groups → Services → Ministries → Churches → Missionaries
- Recommission Network: Planting and replanting healthy churches through shared resources and aligned vision.
- Missions: Sending short-term teams to strengthen and support those we have sent.
We don’t simply want more people coming to Rocky Creek. We want more people going from Rocky Creek.
MAXIMIZE THE CAMPUS
- Our current worship center has served Rocky Creek faithfully for almost sixty years, but the family has grown.
- The issue isn’t that we want something newer. We need more room for the ministry God has entrusted to us.
- We need room for more people to be:
- Reached → Discipled → Equipped → Served → Sent
Why Now?
- We need the space. Our facilities are increasingly limiting ministry.
- We have prepared. We have saved intentionally and strengthened our budget in preparation for this moment.
- Waiting has a cost. Construction costs continue to increase.
- We take debt seriously. Any borrowing must be accompanied by significant cash, careful planning, and a responsible repayment strategy.
- We believe this is a providential window. Years of growth, prayer, preparation, and planning have brought us to this point.
We will examine the financial stewardship and strategy behind M2 in greater detail during Session 3.
Mobilize the church. Maximize the campus.
We make room for people to come so that we can equip more people to go.
- There is still room.
- There are still people to reach.
- There are still servants who need to go.
We are spiritually benefiting today from sacrifices made by generations before us. What will future generations inherit from us?
