Scripture
Psalm 28:1-9
  • We need strength for the battles within us and a shield for the battles around us.

Cry Out (1-2)

  • Pleading with God happens when you realize your need is greater than your ability.
  • The problem isn’t that God is our last resort; it’s that we treat Him like one.

Stand Apart (3-5)

  • Don’t become like the people from whom you’re seeking protection.
  • Trust God’s hands with what their hands have done.

Look Up (6-7)

  • When you know God’s character, you can trust His response.
  • Praise God for who He is, even while waiting on what He will do.

Lean In (8-9)

  • When one of us overcomes, all of us are strengthened.
  • You weren’t given a Shepherd and a flock so you could wander alone.

  • If God is your strength and shield, stop acting like you’re alone and defenseless.
