Join the Movement: Project Theo
Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things that have been accomplished among us, just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word have delivered them to us, it seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some time past, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, that you may have certainty concerning the things you have been taught. (ESV) - Luke 1:1-4
When Luke opened his Gospel, he did so with a clear purpose: to help Theophilus move from hearing about Jesus to having confidence and certainty in what he believed. That same heartbeat forms the foundation of Project Theo, an evangelism and discipleship initiative designed to help people encounter the truth of Christ and grow in a grounded, lifelong faith.
What is Project Theo?
Project Theo exists to mirror the intentionality of Luke’s mission. Luke carefully investigated, listened, learned, and then wrote an orderly account so Theophilus could be anchored in truth. In the same way, Project Theo seeks to:
- Pray for those who are living in darkness, separated from God.
- Engage people in meaningful, gospel-centered conversations.
- Celebrate the work of God as people move from darkness into light.
- Encourage believers to disciple others with purpose and clarity.
Through relational outreach and practical discipleship tools, Project Theo invites every believer to participate in the ongoing story of God’s redeeming work.
How do I participate?
As part of this initiative, everyone is encouraged to identify specific people in their lives and mark their names on colored ping pong balls that represent different stages of spiritual engagement. These balls are then displayed as a visual reminder of God’s work among us and a call to ongoing prayer and engagement with others. The display is located near our Welcome Center and will be available throughout the Luke series, beginning Sunday, November 23, 2025.
- ⚫ Prayer – Who am I praying for to see the light?
- 🟢 Share – Who have I shared the gospel with?
- ⚪ Salvation – Who has come from darkness to light?
- 🟠 Disciple – Who am I helping grow in their faith?
This simple act helps us stay intentional, accountable, and encouraged as we participate in God’s mission together.
Project Theo isn’t just a display. It’s an invitation to join God’s redemptive work with purpose and faith. As we follow Luke’s example, may many come to “know the certainty of the things” they have been taught and find new life in Jesus Christ.
