Celebrating the First Steps of Our M2 Journey

In 2024, the church affirmed funding for the architectural phase of the M2 Campaign through a congregational vote. We gathered for an outdoor candlelight celebration to seek God's direction as we committed to Mobilize the Church and Maximize the Campus. A churchwide prayer guide was released to encourage members to faithfully pray for the M2 Campaign, and God provided more than $875,000 to fund the architectural phase of the project.

Volunteer teams were established in 2025 to begin planning, praying, and preparing for the work ahead. Rocky Creek hosted Catalyst Gatherings and Q&A Sessions to communicate the need for expanded ministry space and share proposed solutions. Our members served together during campus workdays, helping to prepare the property and reduce future project costs. We ended the year strengthening our financial position for the road ahead while also prioritizing our mission endeavors.

When we shared an update in May 2026, we communicated an immediate need of $3.8 million. That figure was intentionally conservative and included approximately $600,000 in projected construction interest. We have since confirmed that those funds are not required to begin construction, so our immediate goal is now $3.2 million. This change does not represent a reduction in the vision or the overall cost of the project. It simply reflects updated information and more precise financial planning. Throughout the summer of 2026, the M2 Fund Raising Team shared updates with Gospel Groups to provide time for both clarity and questions.

Anticipating Next Steps in 2026 and Beyond

• August 26, 2026 at 6:30PM in the Sanctuary and August 30, 2026 at 6:15PM in the Fellowship Hall - Churchwide Q&A Sessions
  New members and others who wish to hear more about M2 can attend either the Wednesday or Sunday sessions to see renderings, hear about plans, and ask questions.
• August 30, 2026 – Commitment Card Distribution
  M2 Campaign Commitment Cards are distributed, encouraging every family to begin prayerfully considering their commitment.
• September 16, 2026 - Prayer and Fasting
  The church joins together for a day of prayer and fasting to ask God for unity and for Him to guide each church member in knowing their part in the campaign. Join other Rocky Creek Gospel Groups and adults in praying together in the sanctuary.
• September 20, 2026 – Commitment Sunday
  Members return their Commitment Cards and Firstfruits Offerings, expressing their commitment to Mobilize into new spaces of leadership, service, and attendance while Maximizing the church's future capacity through generous giving.
• September 27, 2026 – Commitment Celebration
  The church gathers at the 6:30 PM Waypoint Celebration to announce the total Firstfruits Offering and the commitments toward the M2 Campaign through 2028.
• Oct. 1, 2026 - Commitment Contributions Begin
  Contributions can be given on October 1 and applied to the commitments made on September 20.
• December 31, 2028 - We will celebrate the end of the commitment period and celebrate where we have ended with the M2 campaign.
